More exploring on this Day 2 of the Blue Temple. I have discovered much
- Different monsters and foes respond differently depending on what side you approach them on. A lesson I should have taken more to heart before now.
- I have business in the East. On a Peninsula? Must I make my way along the southern rim again?
- Sages do not like being lit on fire.
- Dragons kill.
- I head north.
- I sneak past the 3 skeleton warriors.
- I run past the 5 skeleton warriors, too.
- I ignore the bats.
- The mini blobs I have not yet killed off. I do so with my sword, from a distance. No risks today. Except when fumbling to unleash my sword I dropped a bomb instead. It set of a thunderous noise but there was nothing near by to be harmed by it.
- The door does not open and one stone sits higher. Just one.
- Pushing the stone from North to South opens the chamber.
- Inside is my sage and guide. There is something I must find to the east. How did he get here?
- I have the blue candle, perhaps the old man will reveal more if I show it to him? The chamber is dark after all. I rummage through the bag. What is this? The map shows me where I’ve been and how the chambers are connected? I didn’t not see this before.
- I must have done something wrong because he begins to send sizzling balls of magic in my direction..
- I run away chastised.
- Back through the chamber of the single stone, door to the sage’s chamber sealing behind.
- I pause to practice slaying the small jelly blobs. If I time it right I can slay them carefully.
- To the East of the Map chamber is a fearsome sight. Multiple orange beasts with boomerangs.
- Even though I am not in full health, I try the experiment of attacking them. If I can time it so I creep up from behind or right after they attack I have better luck.
- I am most surprised and gratified that I have almost slain them all!
- The last drops his weapon and instead of it vanishing with his corpse, it becomes mine.
- In the room to the east there is a key. It seems too easy.
- And it is! The moment I rush into the room purple hands emerge from the walls. I do not want to know what will happen if the catch me. Luckily I am fleet on my feet finding a path that takes me to the key in safety.
- A more circuitous route brings me to the door to the north and I rush through.
- To face a dragon.
- The battle does not last long. I do not win.
